Regence believes that cost and quality
data is the kind of fundamental information members
need to inform their health care decision-making. In
2007, Regence committed to launching a series of online
tools designed to give our members information about
cost, quality and other dimensions that they have identified
as important. Since that time, we have launched three
features to our member Web site, myRegence.com.
As part of this effort, Regence is committed to ensuring
our community of more than three million members to
have access to:
- Reliable and relevant cost and price information
- Comprehensive quality information developed and
delivered through a community model
- An online environment where they can support, dialogue
and engage with other members
- Broad self-reporting by providers about their practice
philosophy, areas of specialty, recognition and achievements,
etc.
- The ability to share their experiences with provider
visits and to view survey results and comments posted
by other members
By providing useful quality and cost information to
our members, we are creating a culture where patients
learn to access and experience value in health care.
| Cost
Estimator |
Using the Treatment Cost Estimator,
members are able to access network average
cost for a range of treatment options and conditions
and view out-of-pocket expense estimates for
these same conditions and treatment options. In
addition, providers can now access out-of-pocket
expense estimates for members through Provider
Center. |
| Patient
Feedback |
The Patient Feedback feature gives Regence
members the ability to provide feedback on their
experiences with the health care system. |
| Provider
Profile |
Enhanced Provider Profiles enable participating
physicians, dentists and other health care
professionals to enhance the information presented
in their individual profile pages on the myRegence.com Provider
Search tool. |
| Collaboratives |
Regence makes quality measures available
on a community basis by partnering with community
collaboratives. Community collaboratives are
organizations that bring data from broad sources
together to create quality performance measures
that can be used by all in the community. |
