Provider relations representatives are the main points of contact for billing, coding, contract terms and demographic information changes. Contact your provider services representative for:

  • Explanation of specific medical, administrative or reimbursement policies
  • Callshare issues
  • General education regarding billing and coding methods
  • Requests for Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon participating and preferred agreements

Provider Consultants


Provider consultants resolve global issues through communication with clinics and physician offices. The provider consultants are the primary external contact, building relationships and implementing strategic initiatives. Contact your provider consultant for:

  • Operational interface between organized groups and the health plan
  • Office visits requested for problem solving
  • Resolution of global issues e.g. policies, medical review
  • Office manager forum participation

Provider Training and Communications

Provider Training and Communications produces written provider communications including newsletters, bulletins and manuals. This department also conducts external provider workshops and is responsible for project management for corporate initiatives affecting contracted physicians and other providers. Provider Training and Communications also developed and maintains this Provider Information Site. Provider Network Development
Provider Network Development, also known as contracting, builds and maintains provider relationships through their role in negotiating agreements with physicians, medical groups, facilities and independent physician associations.
