Provider relations representatives are the main points of contact for billing, coding, contract terms and demographic information changes. Contact your provider relations representative for:

• Questions on contract terms
• Explanation of medical, administrative or reimbursement policies
• General education regarding billing and coding methods
• Requests for Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon participating and preferred agreements
• Provider information changes e.g., address or tax identification changes
• Provider complaints and grievances
• Inquiries that cannot be resolved through Customer Service

Provider Consultants
Provider consultants resolve global issues through communications with healthcare professionals. The provider consultant is the primary external contact, building relationships, implementing strategic initiatives. Contact your provider consultant for:

• New office orientations
• Operational interface between organized groups and the health plan
• Office visits requested for problem solving
• Resolution of global issues (e.g., policies, medical review)
• Electronic tools, including information and training on Provider Center
• Delegation arrangement issues
